In a significant development, the Pakke Kessang district police, led by Seijosa, have arrested two individuals, Gona Kanta Hazarika and Umesh Hazarika, for their involvement in a large-scale fraudulent scheme that targeted several businesses and individuals associated with the postal department.
The duo was charged under multiple sections of the BNS following a case registered on August 10 last year. According to Pakke Kessang Superintendent of Police, Tasi Darang, the arrests came after a detailed and prolonged investigation that combined both technical and human intelligence.
The operation was conducted by a specialized team from the Seijosa Police Station, including Officer-in-Charge, Sang Thinley, Sub-Inspectors Duyu Talley and M Ete, as well as constable M Ete. Their efforts were instrumental in uncovering the fraud and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
