The Pachpaoli Police have arrested Hrithik alias Somesh Vilas Parate (23) from Nandgiri Road, Pachpaoli, in connection with ganja smuggling. Somesh, who has several criminal cases against him, including attempted murder and drug trafficking, was apprehended after a search operation was ordered by the Commissioner of Police.
The police team spotted Somesh acting suspiciously while handing over ganja to two men on Nandgiri Road. When the police approached, both the buyers fled, but Somesh was caught. A search of Somesh’s bike and personal belongings led to the recovery of 388 grams of ganja, along with his mobile phone and bike.
Somesh is currently in police custody, while the investigation continues. Authorities are still searching for the two buyers who managed to escape.
