MIDDLESEX COUNTY, N.J. — A Dunellen man is facing serious drug and weapons charges after authorities discovered large amounts of narcotics and firearms in his home.
Pablo Hernandez-Garcia, 38, was arrested on August 13 following a three-month investigation led by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office. He is currently being held at the Somerset County Jail awaiting a detention hearing.
During the search of his residence on North Avenue, officers seized over 700 grams of suspected heroin and more than 375 grams of suspected cocaine, along with drug packaging materials. Police also recovered a handgun, a high-capacity magazine, and ammunition.
Investigators say the handgun was identified as a stolen firearm from Louisiana, reported missing in 2020.
The total estimated value of the drugs and firearms recovered is over $220,000.
The case remains under investigation, and additional charges may be filed.
