The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland announced Friday that Querida Moran, 53, of Owings Mills, was sentenced to over 11 years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and cocaine.

Court documents revealed that Moran pleaded guilty to possessing two kilograms of fentanyl and more than 50 kilograms of cocaine, which were recovered from her storage unit and purse in August 2023. At the time of the offense, Moran was on federal supervised release.

According to the U.S. attorney’s office, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) identified Moran in 2023 as a key supplier for several drug traffickers operating in the Baltimore area. Throughout the investigation, DEA agents observed Moran engaging in multiple drug transactions.

On July 26, 2023, agents watched Moran deliver a bag to the driver of a Subaru in a restaurant parking lot in Arundel Mills. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the seizure of 100 grams of fentanyl.

A week later, agents tracked Moran’s SUV to a truck stop and a storage center. Video surveillance showed her unloading duffle bags and a box into her storage unit. On August 3, 2023, agents conducted a search of the unit, recovering 50 kilograms of cocaine and two kilograms of fentanyl.

Additionally, cocaine was found in Moran’s purse after her arrest, and $56,000 in suspected drug proceeds was seized from her apartment.
