EL PASO, Texas – A 34-year-old man with alleged ties to the violent Barrio Azteca gang was arrested Thursday in Central El Paso after authorities served multiple active warrants related to drug trafficking and assault.
According to the El Paso County Constable Office Precinct Three, Oswaldo Espinoza was taken into custody in the 1200 block of N. Florence Street, near St. Patrick Cathedral. He was wanted after his Personal Recognizance Bond was revoked, leading to the enforcement of several outstanding charges.
Espinoza faces the following charges:
Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 1, <1 gram) – $16,000 bond Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (1–B, 4–200 grams) – $36,000 bond Possession of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 1/1-B, 4–200 grams) – $36,000 bond Assault Family Violence with Prior Conviction (Reckless Breathing/Circulation) – $16,000 bond Evading Arrest – $6,000 bond Resisting Arrest – $6,000 bond The charges stem from various incidents reported between 2022 and 2024. Espinoza was booked into the El Paso County jail following his arrest. Authorities have not released additional details regarding his potential gang involvement, but investigations are ongoing.
