BUFFALO, N.Y. — Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Orlando Duncan Da Silva Bain, a 19-year-old citizen of the United Kingdom, during a targeted enforcement operation on May 7 in Niagara Falls, New York.
Da Silva Bain had recently entered the country as a nonimmigrant through Orlando, Florida, under the visa waiver program. However, he failed to disclose his extensive criminal record in the UK on his Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) application, violating the terms of his admission.
Authorities later discovered that Da Silva Bain has been convicted of serious offenses, including child abduction, engaging in sexual activity with a minor, causing sexual exploitation of minors, possessing indecent images of children, and sending obscene materials through the postal service.
Due to these violations and the concealment of his criminal history, Da Silva Bain is now subject to removal proceedings.
ICE Buffalo officials continue to prioritize enforcement actions against individuals who misrepresent themselves during the immigration process to protect public safety and uphold immigration laws.
