LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) — Allen Guillory Sr., 55, a co-owner of AJ Auto Sales in Opelousas, has been arrested following a detailed investigation into stolen vehicles on his used car lot.
The Louisiana State Police, along with the Louisiana Used Motor Vehicle Commission, launched an investigation on April 16, prompted by an inventory audit at Guillory’s dealership. Investigators discovered four stolen vehicles, including a 2021 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, a 2021 Cadillac Escalade, a 2022 GMC 3500 Denali, and a 2021 GMC 2500 AT4, with an estimated value of $275,000.
Each vehicle had its Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) altered, and fraudulent titles were found in connection to the cars. Additionally, Guillory allegedly allowed unauthorized use of dealership tags on these stolen cars, violating state regulations.
Guillory was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail on multiple charges of illegal possession of stolen things and VIN alteration. The investigation is ongoing.
