WETUMPKA, Ala. — Wetumpka Police arrested 38-year-old Brandon Cramer of Opelika on Aug. 20, accusing him of stealing over $329,000 in cash from O’Reilly Auto Parts.

The loss prevention team at O’Reilly Auto Parts alerted Wetumpka police on Aug. 19, providing documentation alleging that Cramer, an employee, stole $329,484.99 between January 1, 2021, and August 15, 2025.

Wetumpka Police Chief Ed Reeves confirmed the investigation was led by the store’s team, which submitted evidence leading to warrants for Cramer’s arrest.

Cramer was booked into the Elmore County Jail on a first-degree theft charge and posted a $30,000 bond.

Court records reveal Cramer previously pleaded guilty to first-degree theft in Montgomery County in 2013, for stealing $2,832.93 over three months in 2009 from an automotive parts store.
