Ontario Man Arrested in Whitehorse with Suspected Cocaine

RCMP say more than 140 grams of suspected cocaine seized during arrest

WHITEHORSE, Yukon — March 2026

A 21-year-old Ontario resident has been arrested in Whitehorse after police say officers seized a significant quantity of suspected cocaine during a drug investigation.

According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Whitehorse Detachment, officers arrested Nathan Nicholas Mathurin on the evening of Feb. 28, 2026.

Police said the arrest followed an investigation that resulted in the seizure of more than 140 grams of suspected cocaine, along with a quantity of cash believed to be connected to drug trafficking activity.

Charges filed

Mathurin has been charged with:

Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking

Possession of property obtained by crime

Authorities said he was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody.

Upcoming court date

Mathurin’s next court appearance is scheduled for March 11, 2026, as the case proceeds through the Yukon court system.
