Three men were arrested in Hubert on Sunday after a multi-agency investigation into a suspected drug trafficking operation led to significant drug seizures. Deputies from the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit, with assistance from federal and local law enforcement, stopped a vehicle from out of state suspected of transporting cocaine.
During the traffic stop, authorities seized 1 kilogram of cocaine and cash. A subsequent search warrant executed at a Hubert residence led to the discovery of over 1 kilogram of cocaine, 10 pounds of marijuana, and $47,088 in cash.
The men arrested include Timothy Earl Butler, 40, of Hubert; Charlie Edward Cobb Jr., 51, of Oxford, Georgia; and Gabriel Andre Rivera, 42, of Jacksonville. Each faces multiple charges, including trafficking cocaine and marijuana. All three are being held on $2 million secured bonds.
