Borivli Police arrested Omraj Sargotra, 47, for the alleged murder of his wife, Prachi Sargotra (48), following a dispute at their home in Bhim Nagar, Gorai, Borivli, on Wednesday.
According to police reports, the couple had a domestic argument during which Omraj allegedly punched and strangled his wife, resulting in her death. Authorities have invoked provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita to charge him with murder.
Investigators are examining the crime scene and collecting evidence while further inquiries continue to determine the circumstances leading up to the fatal incident.
