A federal court has sentenced Omar Pitter, 45, of San Diego, California, to 33 years and 4 months in prison for his role in a multi-state methamphetamine trafficking ring that reached the Tampa Bay area, the U.S. Attorney’s Office reported.

Pitter was found guilty in September of distributing more than 65 kilograms of methamphetamine and conspiring to launder the proceeds. His girlfriend, Keona Fulton, has been convicted of conspiracy to commit money laundering and is awaiting sentencing.

The investigation, launched by the Drug Enforcement Administration in February 2024, traced the drug supply chain from Sarasota distributors Colin Zirpoli, Elizabeth Poff, Tony Marsh, and Hopeton Goslin back to Pitter in San Diego. Search warrants recovered more than 45 kilograms of methamphetamine along the network.

Other defendants in the case have received federal sentences:

Hopeton Goslin – 20 years

Tony Marsh – 10 years

Elizabeth Poff – 37 months

Colin Zirpoli – 30 months

Law enforcement agencies involved included the DEA, Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, St. Petersburg Police Department, and Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

This sentencing concludes one of the final prosecutions in the extensive multi-state meth distribution and money laundering operation.
