Omaha Couple Arrested in Iowa Drug Bust

Meth, marijuana, and prescription pills seized

MILLS COUNTY, Iowa (WOWT) – Two Omaha residents, James Eads (48) and Diana Dubas (43), were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop in Mills County on Sunday.

According to the Mills County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy noticed the smell of narcotics coming from the vehicle and conducted a search. Authorities recovered 40 grams of methamphetamine, 13 grams of marijuana, and 279 unlawfully possessed prescription pills.

Both Eads and Dubas face multiple charges, including:

Unlawful possession of a prescription drug

Possession of a controlled substance

Drug trafficking (more than 5 grams but less than 5 kilograms of methamphetamine)

Failure to affix a drug tax stamp

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are reviewing potential connections to other illegal drug activities in the area.
