OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A 25-year-old man, Loza Chavez, has been convicted by an Oklahoma County jury on charges of aggravated drug trafficking and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The charges stem from an investigation in April 2024, which led authorities to Chavez’s home, where his landlord provided information that led to the discovery of illegal substances. Investigators found 236 grams of fentanyl, 12 grams of heroin, and nearly 18 pounds of methamphetamine at the property.

The jury’s recommendation suggests Chavez should spend over 40 years in prison and pay $325,000 in fines. Chavez’s formal sentencing is scheduled for May 16, 2024.
