GREENVILLE, N.C. — A three-month investigation by the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit ended on Monday, May 5, with the arrest of 36-year-old O’Joshua T. Roberts of Greenville and the seizure of a large quantity of illegal drugs.
Detectives attempted to serve outstanding felony warrants to Roberts around 1 p.m. in the Westpark Drive area. Roberts initially fled but was subsequently apprehended. A search warrant executed at a local residence resulted in the confiscation of several controlled substances and related items.
Seized items include approximately:
500 grams of cocaine
16 grams of fentanyl
5 pounds of marijuana
A quantity of MDMA (Ecstasy) tablets
Drug paraphernalia
2 home grow huts with drying plants
Over $37,000 in U.S. currency
Roberts faces multiple charges, including:
Trafficking in cocaine
Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver (PWIMSD) marijuana
PWIMSD MDMA
Maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances
Possession of drug paraphernalia
He is currently held at the Pitt County Detention Center under a secured bond of $900,000.
