A 32-year-old woman from Brunswick, Ohio, Tiarika Baymon, was arrested in Ross Township after police found her 7-year-old son in life-threatening condition. An AMBER Alert had been issued for the boy in Medina County, Ohio, following reports of abuse and torture.

Brunswick Police tracked Baymon to the Pittsburgh area, near Avalon and Ross Township. Ross Township Police located her vehicle on William Street, finding Baymon asleep in the driver’s seat with a gun in her lap.

The child was discovered lying on the back seat, which had been folded down, suffering from multiple traumatic injuries and possible broken bones. He was immediately taken to UPMC Children’s Hospital.

Baymon faces several charges including firearms offenses, endangering the welfare of a child, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest, and the abuse-related charges from Ohio.
