In a major breakthrough against narcotics trafficking, the State Task Force (STF) of the Telangana Excise Department has arrested Sangeeta Sahu, also known as Geeta Sahu, a notorious ganja supplier from Odisha.
Sahu, originally from Khallikote village, was apprehended in Odisha with the assistance of the local police. Following her arrest, she was transported to Telangana for further interrogation regarding her role in a larger interstate ganja network.
According to officials, Sahu had been involved in wholesale ganja distribution for the past four years, primarily operating from areas near Bhubaneswar. She maintained links with major contraband traders and supplied large volumes of ganja based on market demand across multiple states.
Authorities suspect that Sahu played a coordinating role in transporting ganja to Telangana, where it was distributed through various local networks. Her arrest is expected to uncover more details about the wider supply chain and lead to additional arrests.
Investigations are ongoing.
