The Odisha Vigilance Department has arrested Raja Kishore Jena, Assistant Engineer of Roads & Buildings (R&B), Division-III, Bhubaneswar, on charges of possessing disproportionate assets (DA).
Extensive searches and scrutiny of properties linked to Jena revealed significant wealth accumulation far exceeding his known income sources.
These findings led to the registration of Vigilance Cell PS Case No. 9/2025 under relevant provisions addressing disproportionate assets.
Jena is scheduled to be produced before the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, later today.
Officials noted that the accused failed to provide satisfactory explanations for the amassed wealth. Investigations are ongoing to uncover further connections and details.
