GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – A 26-year-old Green Bay man, Octavio Lopez-Placencia, is facing multiple drug-related charges after authorities conducted a search of his residence and seized a variety of illegal substances and firearms.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by Local 5, an investigation into Lopez-Placencia began in July when law enforcement conducted several controlled drug buys from him. Each time, the purchased substances tested positive for cocaine.
On September 22, around 1:50 p.m., authorities executed a search warrant at his Green Bay residence. The search yielded the following:
51.99 grams of cocaine
116.55 grams of marijuana
34.92 grams of an unknown substance
8 Clonazepam pills
4 firearms
$1,773 in cash
1 vehicle (Jaguar)
During an interview, Lopez-Placencia admitted to using cocaine and marijuana and said he obtains Clonazepam from Mexico. However, when questioned about the source of his cocaine, he declined to answer and requested an attorney.
Authorities noted that the Jaguar found at the residence is registered to an individual in Michigan. The vehicle was seized as part of the investigation.
Lopez-Placencia is currently being held on a $100,000 bond as he awaits further court proceedings.
