The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has carried out successful operations in several Nigerian states, resulting in large drug seizures and multiple arrests.
In Anambra State, the NDLEA arrested a couple, Nzube and Ebele Onyedika, during a raid in Obosi. The agents recovered 13.9 kilograms of methamphetamine and 5.3 kilograms of skunk from their possession.
Another suspect, Nnamchi Tochukwu, was also arrested in Anambra with methamphetamine, tramadol, swinol, heroin, and skunk.
In Kano State, the NDLEA intercepted 100,000 tramadol pills, 196 liters of akuskura, 34.1 kilograms of skunk, and other substances during several raids.
Meanwhile, in Edo State, NDLEA officers destroyed a 6.7-hectare cannabis farm. They uprooted 16,966 kilograms of skunk and recovered 1,176 kilograms of processed cannabis. Four suspects were arrested during this operation.
In Yobe State, a man was arrested in Potiskum after 22.1 kilograms of cannabis were found in his home.
In Ogun State, a joint operation with local vigilantes led to the arrest of three trans-border traffickers caught with 394 kilograms of skunk.
NDLEA Chairman Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd) praised the officers for their hard work and encouraged them to continue their efforts in the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA).
