North Division Police Arrest Six Including 3 Engineers in Rs61 Lakh Drug Bust

6.2 kg ganja, MDMA, charas seized from accused drug peddlers

The North division police have arrested six individuals, including three engineering graduates, in a major drug bust, seizing drugs worth Rs61 lakh. The police recovered 6.2 kg of ganja, 270 grams of MDMA, 75 grams of charas, three mobile phones, and Rs69,100 in cash during the operation.

The accused have been identified as Mohammed Shoib (28), Chandan (24), Salman Qureshi (25), Umar Saud (26), Bahadur Bhola (20), and Farhan Hussain (29). Among them, Shoib, Chandan, and Saud are engineering graduates who were reportedly addicted to drugs before turning to peddling, police said.

Investigations are ongoing to uncover further details about their network and sources.
