Noida police have arrested seven men in connection with two separate theft cases in Sector 113 and Phase-1.
In the first case, four suspects operating across the National Capital Region (NCR), targeting crowded public places and political rallies to snatch mobile phones and electronic devices, were apprehended by Phase-1 police.
The accused have been identified as Feroz (27), Fardeen (41), Salim (38), and Danish (35), all residents of Delhi.
According to DCP Yamuna Prasad, the gang specifically targeted people carrying high-end mobile phones. Danish, considered the mastermind, would collect the stolen phones at his shop and sell them directly or dismantle them for parts as per demand.
Police recovered 60 mobile phones, 28 tablets, and parts of 265 mobile phones from the accused, with a total estimated market value of Rs2 crore. A case has been registered under BNS Sections 317(2) and 317(5), dealing with stolen property.
In a separate case, the Sector 113 police arrested three men allegedly involved in cash and laptop robberies. The accused were identified as Jahid Ali (19), Tarun (20), and Pushpendra (18).
The suspects would intercept victims at night, assault them, and flee with their belongings, reportedly carrying firearms and knives to intimidate onlookers and evade capture.
These arrests demonstrate effective police action against organized theft and robbery gangs in Noida and surrounding NCR areas.
