MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Iowa – Authorities have arrested a Sioux City man in connection with the theft of heavy equipment near Elliott, Iowa.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office took 48-year-old Nohel Delao into custody on Wednesday on a warrant for Theft in the 1st Degree. The charge stems from a March 13 investigation into the theft of a skid steer in rural Montgomery County.

The stolen skid steer was later recovered in Fremont County, where law enforcement also discovered a stolen tandem axle trailer during the recovery operation.

Delao was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and is currently being held on a $10,000 cash bond.
