In a significant bust, Nixon (31) and Sanoop (36) were arrested in Kerala for forging a psychiatrist’s prescription to illegally obtain and sell tablets used for treating mental health conditions. According to authorities, the duo used fake prescriptions and seals from a psychiatrist at a hospital in Paravur to acquire the drugs from multiple medical stores and then sell them illegally.
The Rural District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (Dansaf), along with the Special Investigation Team of the Munambam Deputy Superintendent of Police and Paravur police, arrested the pair after a tip-off was received by Ernakulam Rural District Police Chief Vaibhav Saxena.
The suspects are also suspected of abusing the drugs as intoxicants. Investigations are ongoing to fully uncover their illegal activities.
