In two separate incidents, Punjab Police arrested three individuals on Tuesday for possession of intoxicating tablets, continuing their crackdown on illegal drug distribution.
In the first case, Nitish, a youth from Sangh-Dhesian village near Goraya, was intercepted at a nakabandi (checkpoint) and found with 47 tablets. A case under the NDPS Act was immediately registered against him.
In a separate operation, police arrested two more individuals, Manpreet and Deepak, after recovering 120 tablets from them at another checkpoint. They too have been booked under the NDPS Act for possession of contraband.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to tackling drug trafficking and maintaining community safety.
