In a case linked to business rivalry, a gang led by Nisha alias Smitha assaulted her former employee, Sanju PB, on Thursday, leaving him injured. Police reported that Sanju had recently quit his job at Smitha’s spa in Sahakaranagar and started his own spa business.

The accused — Nisha (in judicial custody), Kavya, and Mohammed (in police custody) — allegedly attacked Sanju at his Royal Choice Salon and Spa on Bhuvaneshwarinagar Main Road. Kavya reportedly grabbed him by the collar, while Mohammed and two unidentified men further assaulted him. The gang then forced Sanju into a car and drove him to Dasarahalli and Jakkur, continuing to assault and abuse him along the way. In Jakkur, they allegedly assaulted him with a beer bottle and threatened to set him on fire.

Sanju’s wife witnessed the attack and approached Amruthahalli police for help. Police later contacted Smitha, warning her, after which the victim was abandoned in Amruthanagar. Sanju filed a complaint supported by CCTV footage showing a woman smoking while assaulting him.

Authorities have registered a case under BNS sections, and searches continue for two other unidentified gang members. The incident is believed to have stemmed from business rivalry after Smitha closed her previous spa and Sanju started his own.
