A woman named Nisha Kumari was caught on CCTV stealing a pair of gold earrings from Riddhi Jewellers in Bhoothnath market, Indiranagar. The footage of the theft went viral on Friday, and police arrested her that same night.
The incident occurred around 6 pm on Thursday when Nisha entered the jewellery store posing as a customer. She asked the shopkeeper to show her a pair of one-gram gold earrings. While the shopkeeper was distracted, she dropped the earrings onto the floor, quickly picked them up, concealed them, and left without buying anything.
The shopkeeper noticed the earrings missing only after Nisha had left and reviewed the CCTV footage, which clearly showed the theft. The police registered a case at Ghazipur police station and are investigating further.
