BLACKSBURG, Va. (WSET) — A 21-year-old Blacksburg resident, Nirish Chilakala, has been arrested and charged with 100 counts of possession of child pornography, according to the Blacksburg Police Department.
Chilakala was taken into custody on Tuesday after police executed a search warrant at a home in the 600 block of Broce Drive as part of an ongoing investigation. The charges stem from alleged violations of § 18.2-374.1:1 of the Code of Virginia, which pertains to the possession of child pornography.
Following his arrest, Chilakala was released on a $10,000 secured bond. The investigation remains ongoing.
