ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A multi-jurisdictional manhunt led to the September 11, 2025 arrest of 25-year-old Ni’Majae Syncere Logan, wanted for an armed carjacking and robbery in Danville, Virginia.
The incident began earlier that day when an elderly woman was pepper-sprayed, robbed at gunpoint, and had her vehicle stolen in Danville. Authorities quickly alerted nearby jurisdictions, including the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina.
Later that evening, Deputy J. Dickerson spotted a vehicle matching the stolen car’s description traveling south on NC Highway 14. The deputy followed it to a Murphy’s gas station near Walmart, where the suspect, later confirmed to be Logan, fled on foot.
A perimeter was set up immediately, and law enforcement from multiple agencies, including the North Carolina State Highway Patrol’s air unit and Rockingham County’s Special Response Team (SRT), joined the manhunt.
Logan was apprehended in a wooded area by the SRT. He was found to have an extensive criminal record and multiple outstanding warrants:
