A Delray Beach man was arrested Monday evening on multiple charges, including burglary, theft, property damage, and resisting an officer, authorities said.
The suspect, Nikita Serge Evich Deev, was booked under Report No. 553506 by the Delray Beach Police Department. He faces allegations of burglary of an occupied structure without a weapon, petit theft involving merchandise valued between $100 and $750, criminal mischief for property damage, and resisting an officer without violence.
Police did not immediately release details about the location of the alleged burglary or whether anyone was inside the structure at the time. Florida law treats burglary of an occupied structure as a serious offense due to potential risks, even if no weapon is involved.
The property damage charges reportedly range from under $200 to between $200 and $1,000, suggesting multiple incidents or locations. The resisting charge involves alleged noncompliance or obstruction during a law enforcement encounter.
Deev is scheduled for an initial appearance before a Palm Beach County judge, where bond and future court dates will be determined. Prosecutors will review the case to decide which charges, if any, will be formally filed.
Authorities emphasized that all allegations are accusations, and Deev is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
