The Telangana Anti-Narcotic Bureau (TGANB), in coordination with Narsingi Police, arrested three individuals — including a 22-year-old Nigerian national — during a major drug raid in Manikonda. Officers seized 107 grams of cocaine and 25 grams of Ecstasy pills from a flat in Anuhar Coral Bells, Road No. 20, Alkapuri Township. The seized narcotics are valued at approximately Rs30 lakh.
The accused were identified as Chukwumeka Wisdom Onyeka, also known as Victor Chukwu, a B.Sc (IT) student from Gokul Global University, Gujarat, and a native of Imo State, Nigeria; Gopishetty Rajesh (40); and Bommadevara Veera Raju (32), both from West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh.
Investigators revealed that Victor Chukwu had been arrested earlier for attempting to sell cocaine, during which his Sudanese passport was seized. Rajesh and Veera Raju, initially drug users, had moved into drug peddling after forming links with high-profile clients. Despite previous arrests by Raidurgam Police, the duo continued trafficking, making repeated trips to Goa to procure narcotics and supplying them to elite circles in Hyderabad.
Police also disclosed that on May 29, a customer named Phani Raj hosted a rave party at a farmhouse in Aziz Nagar, where Rajesh delivered 5 grams of cocaine. Two days later, another 15 grams were delivered to Mangalagiri.
According to officials, the network is controlled by a Nigerian drug kingpin known as ‘Max’, who allegedly runs supply chains from abroad using individuals on student visas and forged identities.
