In a significant operation, the Goa Police Crime Branch arrested Nnanyelugo Abasili, a 23-year-old Nigerian national, on Friday night in Parra, Goa. In a related development, two other foreign nationals were detained in the same locality. Chigozie Ezekiel, 24, a Nigerian national, and Ismale Baba, 29, from the Ivory Coast, were arrested for staying in India without valid travel documents. Authorities suspect that Ezekiel and Baba may be connected to the same drug trafficking network. The Goa Police have intensified their crackdown on drug trafficking, with total drug seizures this year reaching Rs68.36 crore, resulting in 74 arrests, including the dismantling of two international drug trafficking networks.

SP Rahul Gupta of the Goa Crime Branch emphasized the importance of landlord vigilance, urging property owners to verify the credentials of foreign tenants and monitor their activities to prevent illegal activities. He also encouraged the public to report any drug-related activities or suspicious individuals to the authorities.
