Two Greenville convenience store employees are facing multiple charges after being accused of embezzling cash and lottery tickets from their workplace.
Nicole Perkins, 52, and Alisha Taylor, 51, were arrested by Greenville police on Thursday, July 31, in the 1500 block of SW Greenville Boulevard. The investigation stems from activities at Red Oak Grill and Grocery.
Perkins has been charged with eight counts of embezzlement, accused of stealing both cash and lottery tickets. Taylor faces eight counts of felony conspiracy and larceny by an employee. Warrants state Taylor worked with Perkins in the scheme and also stole additional items from the store.
Both women were booked into the Pitt County Detention Center. Perkins posted a $15,000 bond and was released, while Taylor remains in custody under the same bond amount.
Their first court appearance is scheduled for Friday, August 1, at the Pitt County Courthouse.
