IRVING, TX — Nicole Marie Benoist, 42, was arrested early Monday, July 21, after police responded to reports of mailbox break-ins on Denali Drive in North Irving.
At around 3:15 a.m., officers found Benoist near the scene. A vehicle search uncovered stolen mail, multiple stolen IDs, and several narcotics, including fentanyl.
Benoist was wanted on three active warrants from Colleyville Police for Burglary of a Vehicle and Credit Card Fraud. She was taken into custody and booked at Irving Jail.
Investigators identified 19 victims of identity theft connected to Benoist’s case, spanning Grapevine, Irving, Flower Mound, and Dallas. She faces charges including Fraud (ID Theft), Theft of Mail, and multiple counts of Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substances related to fentanyl.
On July 22, Benoist was transferred to Dallas County Jail with bond set at $49,250. Additional holds from Grapevine Police and Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office were placed due to new and unresolved warrants.
Benoist has a long criminal record dating back over a decade, including prior convictions for forgery, identity theft, credit card abuse, and organized crime. She was on probation until March 2025 following a 2021 ID theft and forgery conviction.
