NEWARK, N.Y. — Darrell Wright, a 43-year-old man from Newark, was arrested Tuesday at the Seneca County Jail after a bench warrant was issued by the Ontario County Supreme Court.
The warrant stems from Wright’s alleged failure to appear in court to face charges related to a felony grand larceny case. In March 2024, Wright was arrested for allegedly stealing a wallet containing debit and credit cards and $1,000 in cash. The alleged theft took place at the Finger Lakes Racino in Farmington, New York.
Following his arrest, Wright was brought to the Ontario County Jail, where he will await his arraignment.
As per legal procedures, it’s important to note that being charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
