In a significant drug bust, Nepal Police arrested two Indian nationals, Jamkod Khan (38) and his 18-year-old son Kishor Khan, for their alleged involvement in smuggling narcotic drugs. The duo was apprehended on October 14, 2024, at a hotel in Bhadrapur municipality, located in the Jhapa district of Nepal.

The arrests were made following an operation based on intelligence reports linking the suspects to drug trafficking activities. Authorities have yet to disclose the type and quantity of drugs seized during the operation, but this marks another crucial step in the fight against cross-border narcotic smuggling in the region.

According to police officials, the father-son duo hails from Kishanganj, a district in Bihar, India, and was reportedly involved in transporting narcotics across the India-Nepal border. Both suspects are currently under investigation, and authorities are working to unravel the details of their network and connections in the broader drug trafficking operations.

This operation highlights the ongoing efforts of Nepal Police to curb the rising issue of drug smuggling and trafficking, particularly in areas near the India-Nepal border.
