An Ithaca man is facing attempted murder charges following a stabbing incident that occurred in June on West Green Street.
On June 12 around 9:45 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of West Green Street, where they found a victim with stab wounds. The victim received initial treatment from Ithaca firefighters before being transported to a regional trauma center for further care.
Investigators identified 20-year-old Nazir Chisolm of Ithaca as the suspect. On Friday, the Ithaca Police Department, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service and the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Chisolm in Maryville, Tennessee. He was brought back to Ithaca to face charges.
Chisolm was arraigned before Judge Wallace and is currently held in the Tompkins County Jail awaiting further court proceedings.
