NAVASOTA, Texas — A joint law enforcement operation in Navasota led to the arrest of Rodney Jackson and the seizure of a significant cache of narcotics, firearms, stolen vehicles, and bomb-making materials.

On Friday, the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a property along County Road 319. Investigators recovered large quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine, several stolen vehicles, multiple firearms, and materials reportedly used for making bombs.

Rodney Jackson, a Navasota resident, was taken into custody and charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property, and tampering with vehicle identification numbers. Authorities noted additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.

The operation was carried out by GCSO’s TACT Team with support from three precincts of the county constable’s office, as well as the Walker and Brazos counties sheriff’s offices and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing as they work to dismantle this dangerous operation.
