In a significant crackdown, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested a man involved in the illegal sale of pharmaceutical drugs in Jaipur. The arrest followed a complaint received through the MANAS portal (helpline 1933), triggering an intelligence-led operation.
The NCB team conducted a targeted raid at Agarwal Medical and General Store, located in Naval Vihar, Sirsi Road, Panchyawala. During the search, officers recovered 3,552 tablets and capsules classified as illegal under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The estimated market value of the seized drugs is Rs14.2 lakh.
The accused, Naval Kishore Kumawat — son of Govardhan Lal Kumawat and resident of Bindayaka — was apprehended for operating the illegal drug trade. Authorities say he was actively selling banned pharmaceutical substances under the guise of legitimate business.
Ghanshyam Soni, Zonal Head of NCB Jaipur, stated that valuable leads about the larger drug supply network were obtained from the arrested individual. The agency has now launched further investigation to trace the supply chain and uncover any additional accomplices.
