The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team, in coordination with Lalaguda police, has busted a fake job racket, arresting Naseem Banu (40) and Syed Adil (23) for duping 11 victims of over Rs35 lakh with false promises of jobs and visas abroad.

Naseem, a housewife, is the prime accused who reportedly set up the fraudulent consultancy named World Wide Overseas Consultants (WWOC) in Tarnaka, Secunderabad. She hired outsourced staff and worked alongside her sister, Fathima, who remains absconding. Another accomplice, Rekha, is also on the run.

According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Task Force, Ande Srinivasa Rao, Naseem advertised on social media platforms like Facebook, offering job opportunities and visas to countries including Singapore, Australia, Russia, and Mauritius. Victims from Nizamabad and Hyderabad were lured by seemingly affordable offers, paid a combined Rs35,08,000, and handed over their passports for visa processing.

Instead of genuine visas, the accused issued fake visa documents and fabricated job offer letters. After collecting payments, the accused stopped responding to victims’ calls, shut down the office abruptly, and vanished.

During the raid, police seized nine Indian passports, five copies of visiting visas, and mobile phones linked to the operation. Both arrested individuals have prior cases under the Emigration Act.

The police are continuing the investigation and searching for the two absconding accomplices.
