MINBURN, Iowa — A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a burglary and theft case in Minburn.
Nalleli Ajualip, 19, of Schuyler, Nebraska, was taken into custody on November 25 and booked into the Dallas County Jail. Ajualip faces a Class D felony for third-degree burglary and an aggravated misdemeanor for fourth-degree theft of an older individual.
The case originated when Logan Steadman of Perry was charged with burglary and theft of checks and cash from a former employer. A search warrant for Steadman’s cell phone revealed that Ajualip conspired with him to steal and forge the checks.
During a phone interview, Ajualip admitted to entering the victim’s home on October 31, along with Steadman, to take the checks. The victim, 61, was known to both suspects through personal and professional connections.
Authorities continue to investigate the case. Further details will be released as they become available.
