In a continued crackdown against narcotics trafficking, Nakodar Police arrested two individuals in separate operations, recovering heroin and intoxicant tablets from their possession. Cases have been registered under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and investigations are ongoing.
During a naka operation near the Bilga Bus Stand, police apprehended Inderjit Singh alias Indu, a resident of Bootay Dian Chhanna under Mehatpur Police Station, District Jalandhar.
A search revealed 4 grams of heroin, which were seized according to legal procedure. The accused was taken into custody immediately, and further interrogation is underway to trace the source and supply chain of the narcotic substance.
In a separate operation near Mohalla Guru Nanakpura, Nakodar, police intercepted Abhishek alias Abhi, a resident of Indra Colony. The accused was found in possession of 28 loose intoxicant tablets, which were recovered during checking. A case was registered, and investigations have begun to determine the intended distribution network and procurement source.
Both operations were conducted under the relevant NDPS Act provisions, reflecting Nakodar Police’s ongoing efforts to curb narcotics trafficking in the region.
