Continuing their relentless fight against the growing issue of drug trafficking, Naharlagun Police have successfully apprehended Ngurang Sensu (20), a drug peddler, and recovered 18 grams of suspected heroin from his possession. This arrest is part of an ongoing anti-narcotics effort under the Operation Dawn 2.0 initiative, as confirmed by Mihin Gambo, Superintendent of Police, Naharlagun.
The late-night operation took place on January 14, 2025, when the police acted on credible information about a suspected drug deal. Under the leadership of Inspector Krishnendu Dev and SI Vivek Linggi, the police team raided A-Sector, Naharlagun. The operation was conducted with the supervision of SP Mihin Gambo and SDPO Rishi Longdo.
Ngurang Sensu, the 20-year-old suspect, was arrested, and the police seized the 18 grams of suspected heroin from his possession. This drug bust is part of the police’s ongoing efforts to crack down on the illicit drug trade in the region and ensure the safety of the local community.
