AirPods tracking helps police capture Philly suspect

A Philadelphia man has been arrested following a violent overnight home invasion and robbery in Upper Southampton Township, authorities announced. District Attorney Jennifer Schorn reported that 33-year-old Nafis Lamont Donte Fisher faces multiple felony charges, including burglary, aggravated assault, robbery, criminal trespassing, theft, and receiving stolen property.

The incident occurred around 2:47 a.m. on October 7, 2025, when Upper Southampton Police were called to a home on Miller Drive for a reported burglary in progress. A female resident told officers she awoke to find Fisher restraining her on her bed. Her screams caused him to flee, where he then encountered the victim’s mother in the hallway before running through the home and escaping into a waiting black sedan.

Inside the victim’s room, investigators found a large kitchen knife placed in her bed and a 12-foot extension cord on the floor. Several items were stolen, including her AirPods, identification, credit and debit cards, and her U.S. passport.

Police used the FindMy application linked to the stolen AirPods to track the suspect in real time. The signal led officers from Upper Southampton down the Pennsylvania Turnpike and into parts of Delaware County before becoming stationary near Aramingo Avenue and East Somerset Street in Philadelphia.

Working with Philadelphia Police, officers located a black 2014 Kia Forte matching the suspect vehicle. When an Upper Southampton officer activated the AirPods’ audible alert, the sound was heard inside the car, where Fisher was found resting. He was taken into custody, and his vehicle was impounded for further investigation.

Authorities say Fisher made “substantive admissions” during an interview about his involvement. He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Corryn L. Kronnagel and committed to the Bucks County Correctional Facility under $250,000 bail (10% acceptable).

The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office praised the rapid coordination between local and Philadelphia police, crediting their teamwork and technology-assisted investigation for promptly resolving a dangerous situation.
