Nadia & Jackeline Inurreta Arrested for Money Laundering

$43K seized during traffic stop in Webb County, Texas

WEBB COUNTY, Tex. (KGNS) — Two women are facing felony charges after being caught with over $43,000 during a traffic stop in Webb County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the arrest occurred on June 23 when a state trooper pulled over a black 2017 GMC Acadia on I-35 in Laredo for a traffic violation.

During the stop, the trooper conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered three bundles of cash—two inside a purse and one in a backpack. The total amount seized was $43,760, according to authorities.

The driver, Nadia Georgina Inurreta, 27, and the passenger, Jackeline Joana Maria Inurreta, 23, both from Laredo, were arrested and charged with felony money laundering.

DPS confirmed that its Criminal Investigations Division is continuing to investigate the case.
