Under its Operation Dawn 2.0 initiative, the police successfully apprehended a drug peddler and seized 6 grams of suspected heroin in Nirjuli on Friday. The operation followed a tip-off, prompting a police team led by Papu Hills police station officer-in-charge Torum Mai, with oversight from Naharlagun SDPO Rishi Longdo. Naharlagun SP Mihin Gambo confirmed the arrest of 27-year-old Nabam Lucky after a brief chase. During the subsequent search, four vials containing 6 grams of heroin were recovered in the presence of independent witnesses.
