Kasbapet Police have cracked a gold theft case that occurred on May 16 at the home of Shabbir Ahmad Khalandarsab Gadagkar, situated in Gadagkar Layout. Mussabbir Mustak Ahmad Gadagkar, a local resident, was arrested for the crime.
According to the police, Mussabbir entered the house through a rear window while the family was away and stole gold ornaments weighing 194 grams, valued at Rs 18.43 lakh. The police recovered the stolen items from the accused.
Inspector Raghavendra H. Hallur, ASI C.S. Angadi, and other officers analyzed CCTV footage, which helped them identify and apprehend Mussabbir swiftly.
