Mumbai Man Asiruddin Khan Arrested with 16 Kg Ganja in Secunderabad

Joint Secunderabad Police seize Rs8.08 lakh ganja shipment

A 35-year-old man from Mumbai was arrested on September 17, 2025, while transporting over 16 kilograms of ganja from Odisha to Mumbai via Secunderabad. The arrest took place during a joint operation by the Secunderabad Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF).

The accused, identified as Asiruddin Takriddin Khan, also known as Chotu, hails from Wadala East in Mumbai. He was intercepted during a surprise check targeting drug peddlers at Secunderabad railway station. Officers recovered 16.166 kg of dry ganja, carefully packed in 16 brown-taped packets inside a trolley suitcase. A mobile phone was also seized during the operation.

The seized narcotics are estimated to be worth approximately Rs8.08 lakh.
