DARKE COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF) – A drug bust in Greeneville led to the arrests of four individuals following the execution of multiple narcotics search warrants on Tuesday. According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, deputies, along with Greenville Police, carried out three separate search operations, resulting in significant drug and weapon seizures.
The first arrest took place at the 500 block of Pine Street, where Raul Dean, 34, was taken into custody. Dean, who was already facing pending charges of Aggravated Arson, violated his pre-trial release, leading to additional charges stemming from the search. Further charges are expected as the investigation progresses.
The second search occurred at the 500 block of Washington Avenue, where Chet Musselman, 26, was arrested. Authorities discovered bulk amounts of methamphetamine, leading to Musselman being charged with Trafficking in Drugs (second-degree felony). Additionally, Musselman was found in possession of a sawed-off shotgun, which led to an Unlawful Possession of a Dangerous Ordinance charge (fifth-degree felony).
The third search warrant was executed at the 500 block of East Main Street, where Aaron Rutschilling, 29, was arrested. Deputies discovered 71 grams of methamphetamine, a .45 caliber handgun, and over $1,000 in cash believed to be related to drug activity. Rutschilling was charged with Trafficking in Drugs (second-degree felony) and Having Weapons Under Disability (third-degree felony) due to previous charges that prohibited him from possessing firearms.
Rutschilling’s partner, Hannah Hodge, 24, was also arrested at the scene on Trafficking in Drugs charges.
In a separate incident, Johntay Lane, 28, was arrested after violating his parole. Lane had previously been placed on probation for drug possession offenses.
This series of arrests highlights the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in the region.
