In a swift breakthrough, Motihari Police arrested two individuals involved in a Rs5.35 lakh robbery targeting a CSP (Customer Service Point) operator in the Ramgarhwa police station area of East Champaran district. The incident occurred on Friday evening when the operator was returning from a bank with cash.

Raxaul SDPO Manish Anand confirmed that the accused—Munna Pandey and Deepak Chauvey—were apprehended within 24 hours of the crime. During the arrest, police recovered the full looted amount of Rs5.35 lakh, two country-made pistols, and four live cartridges.

The robbery was carried out by four bike-borne assailants, and a manhunt is underway to capture the remaining two suspects. “Their arrest is expected soon,” said SDPO Anand.

This rapid action highlights the efficiency of the Motihari Police in tackling crimes involving CSP operators, who have become increasingly targeted due to their cash handling.
